Erinn Jayjohn

Junior Varsity Volleyball Coach

Coach Erinn Jayjohn is in her 11th year of coaching and 10th year of teaching in 2023 at Timber Creek High School. Coach Jayjohn graduated from Northwest High School in Justin, TX in 2009, and from the University of Mississippi in 2013 with a Bachelor’s degree in English Literature where she also played softball. She graduated with her Master’s in Coaching and Recreation Science from Ohio University in the Fall of 2020. Prior to joining Timber Creek High School, she started her high school coaching career at her alma mater; Northwest High School. She then began her head coaching career at Granbury High School in 2015. She then helped begin the softball program at Harlan High School (San Antonio) in 2017. Coach Jayjohn also works as the JV Volleyball Coach at Timber Creek with 5 years of coaching and 6 years of playing experience on the court. Before relocating back to Texas, Coach Jayjohn was an assistant coach and pitching coach at Southern Arkansas University (SAU) for their 2015 season where she helped lead the Muleriders to win their first ever conference championship in the Great American Conference. In addition to this accomplishment, Coach Jayjohn’s leadership lent to the Muleriders softball team breaking multiple SAU school records, and coaching two D2 All-American Pitchers. As a player at Ole Miss, Coach Jayjohn spent her time pitching in relief, playing first base and as a designated hitter. She was voted unanimous team captain as a senior in the 2013 season and was also a nominee for the Rebel Awards, Hotty Toddy Award for Sportsmanship. During her time at Northwest High, Coach Jayjohn lettered all four years and accumulated many accolades including District MVP, and Pitcher of the Year. Coach Jayjohn has the experience of playing competitive softball for over 20 years, and also found a passion for teaching. Her love and passion for the game and literature have driven her to become a leader for future players and students alike, and looks forward to continuing to work with the Falcon Family. She lives in Fort Worth, TX with her dog, and enjoys spending time with her family and friends, reading, and crocheting.

Shelby Stinnett

Varsity Assistant Coach

Coach Stinnett is entering her 5th year teaching and coaching, with it being her 2nd year at TCHS. She graduated from Northwest High School in 2014 and Texas Wesleyan University in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in finance where she also played volleyball. Prior to joining our team, Coach Stinnett spent 3 years at Eaton High School coaching JV volleyball and soccer. Coach Stinnett enjoys coaching because some of her biggest influences in life were her coaches, and she wants to be that for her athletes as well. Watching them not only grow in their sport, but who they are as a person is the best reward for her. She hopes to make a difference in their future and continue to watch them succeed far beyond the volleyball court.

Makelle Akin

9th Grade A Volleyball Coach

Coach Akin is entering her 3rd year as a Falcon and 11th year as an Educator and Coach. Coach Akin graduated from Fossil Ridge High School where she played basketball and softball. After high school, Coach Akin went on to play softball at Vernon College and finished her softball career at Texas Wesleyan University in 2013 earning a Bachelor’s degree in History. Prior to joining Timber Creek High School, she started her teaching and coaching career at Brooks Wester Middle School in Mansfield ISD for 4 years. After that she worked at Mansfield High School where she coached Softball and Volleyball for 4 years. Coach Akin is very excited to be back in Keller ISD this time as a teacher and coach. Keller ISD opened many opportunities for her as a student athlete. She hopes to inspire her players as her coaches inspired her.
